So I wouldn't really be posting right now because I'm not sure I have anything original to say but since I sent my blog address to everyone I feel like I should add something. Yep, guilt. I need some creative ideas to start blogging about - any opinions, people? Either that or I just need some exciting stuff to happen in my life . . . yeah, I've got nuthin'. =)
For the political people, here's the news: I voted. Straight Republican. And yes, I actually researched the candidates before I checked the box. That doesn't make me any happier if we get McCain for president but at least he's not Obama and at least he actually has a chance of winnning the election.

McCain is not any better than Obama, but the Lord is control and He is still on the Throne. By the way, nice theme for the blog, Rachel.
Um....McCain is better than Obama. True that McCain does leave me confused sometimes, but hey, I would rather be confused, than believe Obama's junk!
post maybe something like what the Lord has been showing you and teaching you. Or you could do current events like what happened to you that week or whats going to happen this week...anyways, for His purpose, Shane Gordon.
What I meant was as a conservative Republican (above all I'm born again), I think McCain is too moderate. But, a moderate Republican beats a communisitic liberal any day in my book.
I feel your pain, Rachel. It's always a tough choice when you have to vote for either socialism or fascism. Either way, you get more government and less liberty. Ain't democracy great?
For anyone interested, there is a pretty good quiz at http://www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/senate2006.asp?quiz=2008 to match you with the candidates.
My results:
43% Chuck Baldwin
38% Bob Barr
35% Cynthia McKinney
30% John McCain
30% Ralph Nader
23% Barack Obama
Be sure to click on the issues to make sure you understand what they mean by them.
Music is always a good topic of conversation. I'm currently listening to Mozart's Symphony No. 17. What are you listening to? Regarding politics, I'll reluctantly vote for McCain for 2 reasons: 1) He is not an outright socialist like Obama; and 2) Sarah Palin. I'm hoping she is the future of the Republican Party. Repubs need to get out of this pandering, moderate to left leaning funk. We, the normal people, can't even recognize our own party anymore. What's the point of a 2 party system if you can't distinguish the parties?
